Skills Day is for grades 1-8 only. High school and kindergarten players will be assigned to teams in December.
Please arrive with your child at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time. Upon arrival, your player will sign in, receive a number, and confirm any unavailable practice night. Players will enter the gym and participate in stations involving basic basketball drills. It's fun! Parents will remain outside the gym, unless they are willing to help run the drills with the coaches. A brief talk may be given, answering common questions.
The skills to be assessed will be basic and fun, not something for your child to fret over. Holding a skills assessment helps the coaches create evenly experienced/talented teams during the draft process. All teams will be made of combined skill levels; no one is "cut." We ask that you make every effort to attend.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO WORK THE CHECK-IN TABLES! Ideally, three hour shifts would work best but even two hours would help. Students can also receive service hours for this, as long as a parent volunteers with them. Please email [email protected] with your availability. Thanks!
